Changing the Culture
After a slow start in the beginning of the semester, as our executive board takes on the new challenge of running the chapter on their own, Idaho Beta has hit the ground running!
Recruitment at a Glance:
So far this semester Idaho Beta has recruited 6 new brothers and these brothers have brought up new ideas for the chapter that as a chapter we are ready to continue with and continue to build our culture inside the chapter. Upholding the ideals of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love.
Pushing toward a Learning and Serviceable Community:
As the school year has progressed and spring break approaches, the chapter has been able to start a learning opportunity every Tuesday and Wednesday in order to keep our brothers engaged and pushing themselves for a higher educational standard.
Idaho Beta has also been approached by Dance Marathon at Boise State. A yearly philanthropic event that services St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital. Our Chapter has created their own page for Dance Marathon and have already raised more than $400 for the Philanthropy. We are excited to continue to raise the bar and bring the community together.
Balanced Mind and Balanced Body:
As one of the main ideals of a Sigma Phi Epsilon Chapter, we are constantly raising the bar in order to continue to better our brothers. Starting with bringing in our Assistant Dean of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Mark Gehrke to discuss how to continue to maintain a culture in our Chapter and how to go through challenges that new Chapters on campuses might face in the first few years.
Our Chapter has also started participating in Intramural Sports at Boise State and also continue to recognize our brothers achievements as they continue to be active and participate in events!
Post Spring Break:
As a Chapter, we are excited to continue to grow and recruit year round. We want to continue to grow our culture and maintain our ideals. We look forward to all events that we have ready for the second half of the semester!
